Andrew (Andy) Power is the Chief Executive Officer and a member of the Board of Directors of Digital Realty. Andy also has served as Digital Realty’s President since 2021 as Chief Financial Officer since 2015 with responsibility for global portfolio operations, technology development and innovation, as well as the company’s financial functions across its global platform. Prior to joining Digital Realty, he held positions of increasing responsibility at Bank of America Merrill Lynch, where he most recently served as Managing Director of Real Estate, Gaming and Lodging Investment Banking. Andy also serves on the Board of Directors of Americold Realty Trust (NYSE: COLD), where he is a member of the audit committee and investment committee.

William E. Beck, EVP Strategy for Chirisa Inv. And Senior Advisor to multiple Technology, Data Center and Energy organizations. Previously, Managing Director, Global Head of Critical Engineering and Sustainability (CES) at Credit Suisse

Bill is currently EVP of Strategy at Chirisa Inv and advising several Private Equity, Data Center, Energy and Technology organizations. He was previously the subject matter expert and advisor to the internal Investment Bank at Credit Suisse on new businesses; Data Center, Technology, Energy and Environmental, Innovation products and services.

Prior to Chirisa, Mr. Beck was a Global Managing Director for Credit Suisse. He joined Credit Suisse in June 2003 from Globix Corporation, where he was Global Head of Real Estate, Construction, Facilities Engineering and Data Center Operations, prior to that, Mr. Beck worked at Railworks/L.K. Comstock Corporation, formally part of Schneider Corporation’s Spie Batignolles Construction and Operations Division. Where he led the design and construction of various commercial power plant, industrial and data center related projects.

He is an Executive Manager recognized as an Industry leader across multi-disciplinary areas on both a global and regional scale. Subject matter expert spanning the development, design, construction and operational management of critical and non-critical infrastructure assets, operations management and technology. Expert in evaluating and creating total solutions having an owner’s, consultant, service supplier and contractor’s expertise and perspective. Recognized and awarded as being a global innovation leader in exploring, developing and deploying new technologies while leveraging sustainable projects to offset operational costs and minimizing operational risk.

Bill’s career includes over several hundred data center related transactions in the US, North and South America, Europe and Asia. This equates to several million square feet of data center and technical facilities and well over 2 billion dollars across both the capital and operational expense areas.

He also has extensive relationships on a National and Global basis across all industry and client areas of Banking, Technology, Data Centers, Government, Utilities as well as Sustainability and Environmental Agencies. 

Industry leading development and deployment of global energy procurement and innovation strategies, environmental sustainability management and the ISO 14001 programs during his tenure at Credit Suisse.

Recognized and awarded for global innovation, product and project management as well as operational process management solutions. This includes “green:” initiatives i.e. Thermal Ice Storage, Fuel cell, Solar (thermal and electrical), water reclamation, thermal reflective skin, Energy, demand response demand management, LED (2005), process control and sensor deployment, Edge IoT and AI based technologies (critical system and workplace).

Has successfully created and managed multiple organizations responsible for all critical and non-critical mechanical and electrical systems infrastructure for Credit Suisse, Goblix and LKC. This includes Data Center facilities, Work Place, Energy and Sustainability and Product Management. Responsible for the development, design, project management and engineering operations within the Global: Corporate Real Estate and Services (CRES), Information Technology (IT) and Business Continuity Management (BCM) initiatives and projects.

Mr. Beck has a Master’s Degree in Management Science and a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Fairleigh Dickinson University. He is a licensed Professional Engineer, Certified Energy Procurement Professional and a licensed Master Electrician.

Chris Crosby is a recognized visionary and leader in the datacenter space and has served as founder and CEO of Compass Datacenters since 2011. Chris has over 25 years of technology experience and over 15 years of real estate and investment experience. Previously, Chris served as a senior executive and founding member of Digital Realty Trust. Mr. Crosby received a B.S. degree in Computer Sciences from the University of Texas at Austin.

Christian Belady is a seasoned veteran in managing Datacenter/Infrastructure Development at global scale. He has developed one of the largest data center footprints in the world. He is currently the general manager of Cloud Infrastructure Strategy and Architecture for Microsoft’s Cloud Infrastructure Organization. In recent years he has been responsible for driving the strategy and delivery of server and facility development worldwide, including research, engineering, construction, and operations for Microsoft’s data center portfolio.
In 2010, SearchData named Christian as one of “5 People who changed the data center” industry and helped drive innovative thinking and quantitative benchmarking in the field. With over 132 US patents and many international patents, Christian is an ASME and IMAPS Fellow and a founding member of ASHRAE’s TC9.9, which drive industry guidelines. He was one of the early architects of the Green Grid where he has served on the board and as treasurer. He is an originator of the Power Usage Effectiveness (PUE) metric used to determine the energy efficiency of a data center which is now broadly used by the industry. In 2011, he co-authored Water Utilization Effectiveness (WUE) and Carbon Usage Effectiveness (CUE) with the Green Grid. He has also worked closely with government agencies such as the Department of Energy and European Commission to define efficiency metrics for data centers and servers. As a result of his efforts, Christian has received several industry awards including the 2013 DatacenterDynamics “Outstanding Contribution to the Industry” Award, the 2017 DataCloud “Data Center Thought Leadership” Award and the 2015 Semi-Therm “Thermi” Award.
Christian has published dozens of papers, is frequently quoted in the press, and is a featured speaker on data center trends in the industry. Since the late 1990s, his publications have focused on data centers and the industry’s need for engineering efficient computing environments.

He spent the past 12 years as head of Enterprise Data Center Operations for The Walt Disney Company, and 12 years prior to that as head of Corporate Data Centers at Verizon. Denis was part of the Advisory Council for The Green Grid during its influential years, and is now a member of iMasons and serves as an Operating Expert Board member at Tacit.

Diraj is the VP, Global Design & Construction at Equinix. He has oversight for delivery of all major expansion projects globally, spanning 30+ markets throughout the Americas, EMEA and AP. He also retains oversight globally for Power Procurement, Equipment Procurement and Environmental Sustainability.
Diraj commenced at Equinix 5 years ago as VP, NA Construction. Formerly he was a Director of Barclays Bank PLC where he spent 10 years in a variety of senior roles through NA/LATAM and AP.
He commenced his career at DSCO Group, an AP based MEP Engineering consultancy and spent 5 years with them throughout the region.
He relishes the challenge of leading design and construction delivery and innovation on a large, intense global scale. He finds immense satisfaction both in developing high performing teams and individuals and in creating/deploying optimal standardised delivery processes.

Don Beaty started DLB Associates Consulting Engineers in 1980. The firm is active globally and has provided services for mission critical facilities throughout the world. DLB’s experience includes over 4,000 MW (MEGAWATTS) of critical (IT) power, data center campuses that total over 4,500 ACRES (1800 HECTARES / 27000 MU) and thousands of mission critical projects with a combined raised floor (white space) area of over 16 MILLION square feet (1.5 MILLION square meters).

DLB have provided design, commissioning and operations support services for a wide variety of large and small data center clients including ten of the largest Google data center campuses worldwide. DLB offers individual services, bundled services, and “end to end” services for projects ranging from very small to very large.
While the data center industry is global, Don is also very active globally having presented in over 70 cities in 37 unique countries over the past decade. Don is an ASHRAE Fellow, an ASHRAE Distinguished Lecturer, and has served in leadership positions on ASHRAE committees on energy, equipment performance, and data centers. He was the co-founder and first chair of ASHRAE Technical Committee TC 9.9 (Mission Critical Facilities, Technology Spaces and Electronic Equipment) and, has been a major contributor to over 10 data center books. He continues to be a major driving force on TC 9.9.

Eddie Schutter is the Chief Technology Officer for Switch. Eddie is responsible for technical and operational leadership, optimization of production and services, and strategic development of innovation programs and initiatives that drive top-and-bottom line business value across all business units.
Eddie has over 25 years of experience and leadership in the data center and information technology industry for organizations including eBay, AT&T, DCF Technologies, The Green Grid, Data Center Pulse, and other various advisory boards. He is a Director on the iMasons BOD, Executive advisor of the Technical Curriculum Advisory Board for CNET Training, and Engineering Advisory Board for SMU Lyle School of Engineering.
Additionally, he has been instrumental in the development of operational optimization, technology innovations in the data center ecosystem and automation, full stack solution development and deployment, networks, infrastructure security, cloud engineering and operations, new product development, industry standards and best practices, and in advancing formal education in data center design and engineering.
Eddie is a Navy veteran and he studied Aerospace Engineering at Texas A&M University. He resides in Dallas with his wife of 28 years and their eleven children. In his free time, Eddie enjoys outdoor activities, soccer, hunting, fishing, and farming.

Harkeeret (Harqs) Singh is the Chief Operating Officer (COO) for Data & AI, Technology Platforms, Enterprise Services and Information Security at BlackRock. The functions include global responsibility for the Digital Workplace, Technology Infrastructure, Information Security, Enterprise Security, Real Estate, Data Ops, Data Ops Engineering and the Artificial Intelligence Labs. Harqs is responsible for Strategy, Business Management, Operations, M&A, Sustainability, Business Relationship Management and the Project Management Office. Harqs joined from Thomson Reuters where he was Senior Director of Technology Strategy responsible for leading strategy and delivering business transformation initiatives across technology services.
Previously as Senior Director of Technology Strategy at Thomson Reuters, he led strategy and transformation across the technology stack, from Application Development & Maintenance, to the Data Center Infrastructure (Facilities, Server, Storage, Network, OS, & Database) and IT desktop technology. Harqs is experienced across business and technology having managed global teams, large-scale investment initiatives and significant operational budgets.

Heather has had a “front row seat” in the development of internet infrastructure. From the early days of DSL and driving the over 90% US coverage, to leading global colocation presence in Europe, South America and APAC. She has built her reputation as the go-to person to create new capabilities for data center companies to scale. She is a PMO thought leader, delivering tools/systems, learning and development, and business operations.
She has held leadership roles at New Edge Networks, Microsoft and Google.
Heather is a pioneer in leading Diversity and Inclusion within the industry and holds both BA and MBA from Gonzaga University.

Jennifer joined Ada Infrastructure as President in 2022 to lead global strategy, growth, and operations. She came to Ada Infrastructure after six years at Microsoft, where she contributed to the geo-expansion of its Cloud Operation and Innovation presence, securing and delivering ~2 GW of new data center capacity, driving strategic initiatives across sales, cybersecurity, environmental health & safety, and diversifying the supply chain throughout the leased ecosystem. Prior to Microsoft, Jennifer spent over seven years at Digital Realty in various executive leadership roles contributing to the delivery of ~500 MW of capacity globally. Previously, she led infrastructure teams at Tesco plc., British Airport Authority, and as engineering consultant for Walmart, across North America, EMEA, and APAC. Jennifer is a Canadian Professional Engineer and holds a B.S. in Applied Science and Engineering from Queen’s University and an MBA from London Business School.

Jim Hawkins is Vice President of Data Center Ops at Oracle. He has a history of achieving results throughout his professional career to include: transforming an unprofitable business; leading world-class teams, applying lean six sigma principles to the data center industry; leveraging operating mechanisms to drive world-class operational performance and industry-leading Net Promoter Scores (NPS). His specialties include: engaged leadership, cloud computing, critical infrastructure leadership, continuous improvement, strategic planning, Lean Six Sigma, operational excellence, data center operations, operating mechanisms & rigor, network operations, supply chain, demand planning, quality systems, change management, incident management.

Jim Smith has been Managing Director – Hyperscale for Equinix since May 2018.
For over 11 years, Jim served in various leadership roles at Digital Realty Trust including CTO with responsibilities spanning the Portfolio Operations Group, which includes global property operations, technical operations, customer service, security and data center services functions. Previously, Mr. Smith was responsible for overseeing data center development, power procurement and energy management. Mr. Smith joined Digital Realty in November 2004 as Engineering Director. Thereafter, Mr. Smith served as Vice President, Engineering from January 2007 to December 2007. Jim has over 16 years of data center development experience, including as Chief Technical Officer at Colo.com, Founder and General Manager of ATMnet, which was acquired by Verio in 1997, and General Manager at 360networks. Mr. Smith received a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry from Fort Lewis College and a Master of Business Administration degree from London Business School.

Joe Kava is vice president, Global Data Centers at Google. He leads the teams responsible for site selection, power purchasing, research, engineering, construction management, critical facility operations, hardware operations, environmental health and safety, sustainability, and physical security for Google’s global fleet of data centers. Joe joined Google in 2008, after a career in both commercial data centers and the semiconductor industry, serving in executive roles in operations, design, construction, new product introduction, and business development. He is a staunch advocate for building sustainable data centers and implementing Google’s cloud computing strategy. Joe is also passionate about educating the global data center industry so that others can benefit from the efficiency best practices pioneered by Google.

Joel D. Stone is the President and Chief Operating Officer of CalETHOS, a 100% clean energy powered data center provider located in Southern California. Mr. Stone has 24 years of broad-based operations, engineering, construction, integration, transformation, and technical leadership in the data center infrastructure, sourcing and telecommunications industries. Prior to joining CalEthos Mr. Stone led the Global Site Sourcing teams for Meta Platforms that supported the data center infrastructure teams from 2019 to 2022. Prior to 2019 Mr. Stone served as Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of RagingWire Data Centers, a NTT communications company. Mr. Stone was responsible for critical facilities engineering, design, construction, and data center operations from 2016-2018. Prior to RagingWire, Mr. Stone served as Vice President of Global Data Center Operations for CenturyLink Communications, responsible for 58 data centers around the world and a global team of 600+ people from 2011-2016. Prior to CenturyLink, Mr. Stone was Group Operations Director at Global Switch in London, one of the largest wholesale data center providers in Europe and Asia. Mr. Stone spent nine years at Microsoft responsible for all North America data center operations.

“John Sheputis is longtime Data Center developer, operator, and investor. From 2019 through 2023, John was a Managing Director at GI Partners where he lead the firm’s technology real estate acquisition and development activities and headed the Essential Tech and Science Real Estate Fund. Prior to joining GI Partners, Mr. Sheputis was co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of Fortune Data Centers, which helped establish the wholesale data center segment in Silicon Valley in 2007. In 2014, the Fortune properties and team were merged with the Dallas Infomart to create Infomart Data Centers, where Mr. Sheputis served as President. In 2018, Equinix purchased the Dallas Infomart and IPI Partners acquired the Silicon Valley, Oregon, and Virginia properties to create Stack Infrastrcture. Prior to Fortune, Mr. Sheputis founded, managed, and sold several s Silicon Valley VC backed technology ventures.”

Krupal Raval joined Equinix in May 2019 with nearly 20 years of financial services and REIT industry experience and serves as Managing Director for the xScale team. Since joining, the xScale team has announced two multi-billion dollar joint ventures with GIC, in EMEA and APAC respectively. Before joining Equinix, Raval served as Chief Financial Officer, Asia Pacific for Digital Realty. In that role, he oversaw a range of financial functions for the region, including forming the Joint Venture partnership with Mitsubishi Corporation in Japan. He also served as the regional Portfolio Manager, responsible for a portfolio of nearly 2.0 million square feet, which grew 3x while NOI increased nearly 4x, during his tenure in APAC. Krupal also served as Vice President, Capital Markets at Alexandria Real Estate Equities responsible for all finance strategy, reporting and investor relations activities. During his tenure at Alexandria, the firm raised $2.1 billion of equity and debt capital. He started his career at the top-ranked Citi REIT Equity Research team. As a Research Analyst for Fidelity Management and Research, he coordinated asset allocation with the firm’s portfolio managers, resulting in over $4 billion new capital invested in publicly traded real estate companies. Krupal received a Bachelor of Science degree from Cornell University, where he was a Meinig Family National Scholar (awarded to less than 2% of each class). In his free time, Krupal spends time with his family.

Over the past 25 years of his career, he has built exceptionally strong credentials in the design of versatile, cost-effective and energy-efficient data centre infrastructure.
During his time with Interxion he has pioneered several new approaches to data centre design and management, including the improvement of power ratio efficiency between server load and transformer load, and the industry’s first ever modular approach to data centre architecture.

Lex holds a position at the TGG Advisory Council, is active as the TGG chair for the Governmental Engagement Committee, TGG chair for Open Standard for Datacenters Availability (OSDA) and works as a stakeholder for the European Commission DG Joint Research Committee on Sustainability and the European Data Centre Code of Conduct Metrics Group. Lex was also a founding member of the EMEA Uptime Institute.
In 2010, Lex has also received the Personal Judges Award in Nice for Outstanding Contribution to the Datacenter Sector over the last 10 years by Broadgroup, and again by DCD in 2016.
He studied Mechanical Engineering and Management and Economics in Rotterdam.

Mark Monroe is a Principle Engineer in the Datacenter Advanced Development Group at Microsoft, working on issues in energy and water conservation. His 30+ years’ of technical and business experience in the IT industry spans many layers of the stack from data center design and operations, IT operations, application and system design, as well as professional services, sales, program management, and outsourcing management.
Mark worked for more than 17 years at Sun Microsystems in numerous leadership and executive roles including the Director of Sustainable Computing, leading the company to attain no. 14 in Newsweek’s “Green 500” awards. During his tenure, he also served as a founding board member of The Green Grid, an IT industry consortium focused on resource efficient data centers and business computing environments.
After Sun, Mark served as the Executive Director of The Green Grid, leading the publication of 20 technical papers and on-line tools in one year, and expanding membership and global reach including the first chapter in China.
He continues to work on sustainability advisory boards with the University of Colorado and local Colorado governments. Mark has a BS and MS Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Virginia Tech and is a certified Six Sigma Black Belt and Master Black Belt.

Over Twenty years of experience in a variety of leadership positions in the tech industry. Mark has been a successful senior leader at industry leading technology companies such as Facebook, Microsoft, eBay/PayPal, Intuit, Rackspace, SiriusXM and Compaq.

Mark Thiele’s successful career in IT spans 30 years and has focused on both operating roles and on driving IT innovation, efficiency and cloud adoption across enterprises of all sizes.
Mark has deep industry experience and extensive knowledge of the requirements for building IT solutions that optimize for value and speed. In his role at Edge
Gravity he iprovided strategy and engineering for edge cloud. Prior to joining Edge Gravity, Mark was CIO and Chief Strategy Office at Apcera (acquired by Ericsson). He is also the president and founder of Data Center Pulse and he has held executive roles at HP, Gilead, VMware, and Switch SUPERNAP. He has also contributed to nonprofit industry groups, including the IDC-A.org Technical Committee as Committee Chair and as a member of the BOD for the Cloud Native Compute Foundation
Mark speaks globally at leading industry events on topics like cloud adoption, data center, IT organization, Edge Computing and more. He is also on the board of directors and advisory board member for several startups including, Levers, Halla, RackN, Solecular, and CSRware. Mark is currently the CEO & Founder Edgevana Inc.

Mike Allen is Managing Director, Global Head of Data Center Services, Global Technology Infrastructure for JPMorgan Chase. He leads teams responsible for Strategy, Engineering and Operations. Mike has spent the last 20 years between JPMC and Goldman Sachs this being his second tenure with JPMC. Mike initiated the current multi-billion dollar JPMC Global Data Center Strategy program that is the catalyst for foundational modernisation and transformation of the entire real estate portfolio, technology platforms, resiliency stance and application deployments. The firm has recently executed on multiple leases and builds of high efficiency hybrid-modular Data Centers. He is also a sustainability champion within the Bank bringing together real estate and technology functions to drive a ‘joined up’ agenda through proprietary telemetry products.

Noam Freedman is a Senior Vice President, responsible for the Edge Platform organization at Akamai. With more than 18 years of experience in management and technical leadership roles, he leads a team of 1,000+ employees and contractors across over 20 countries. As leader of Akamai’s Edge Platform organization, Noam is responsible for building out the Akamai Platform, including core software engineering, capacity planning, deployment and logistics, and strategic relationships with over 1,400 Network Operators across 135 countries around the world. He is also responsible for product engineering for Akamai’s $1.7B+ suite of delivery products.

Prior to joining Akamai, Noam was a member of a computational research group at Argonne National Labs and a lecturer in the graduate program in Computer Science at the University of Chicago. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from the University of Chicago and is also a graduate of the Greater Boston Executive Program at MIT’s Sloan School of Management.

Peter Gross is a technology and energy internationally recognized expert whose career spans over three decades. Until the end of August 2019, he led the Mission Critical Systems group at Bloom Energy, the premier manufacturer of solid oxide fuel cells. Prior to joining Bloom, he was the Managing Partner for HP’s Carbon, Power and Critical Facilities Services where he was responsible for strategic technology planning and business development. He was the co-founder and CEO of EYP Mission Critical Facilities, Inc., the preeminent consulting and engineering firm dedicated to the design and operations of data centers. In this position, he has played a pivotal role in the rapid growth of EYP MCF’s business since its founding in 1997, leading to its acquisition by HP in 2008.

Peter is recognized as a thought leader in the mission-critical information, communication and infrastructure design realm, has published numerous technical papers in the field and is a frequent speaker at international events. His focus centers on mission-critical facilities, high-reliability design, power quality, energy and sustainability. Peter has more than 30 years’ experience in the engineering and design of power systems as applied to data centers, trading floors, command and control centers, and telecommunication and broadcasting facilities.

Peter has been at the forefront of many innovative concepts that have contributed to the data center industry evolution. He was co-awarded patents for the modular, prefabricated FlexDC product, for Direct Current power distribution topologies in data centers and for fuel cells data center architectures.

Peter is the recipient of 2010 Data Center Dynamics “Outstanding Contribution to the Industry” award. He was quoted in many publications, including The New York Times, Businessweek and Computerworld.

A Senior IEEE Member and a Registered Professional Engineer, Peter was one of the contributors to IEEE Standard 3006.7-2013, “Recommended Practice for determining the reliability of 7×24 Power Systems in industrial and commercial facilities”.

In 2012 he joined the Ontario’s High Performance Research Computing (HPRC) Strategic Advisory Committee. He is a member of the Advisory Board of UCLA’s Institute of Environment and Sustainability and of Southern Methodist University’s Data Center System Engineering Board of Advisors. He is also an Advisory Council Partner and a Master of Infrastructure Masons and a member of the DCIRN Board of Directors.

He graduated from the Polytechnic Institute of Bucharest with a degree in Electrical Engineering and received an MBA from California State University.

Peter lives with his wife in Santa Monica, California.

Serving as President and Chief Executive Officer, Sureel has over 20 years of experience as an executive in the Internet infrastructure industry. He is also a member of Vantage’s board of directors. Sureel was previously an Operating Executive at Silver Lake Partners, and prior to that Chief Executive Officer of Elevation Data Centers, a private-equity backed roll-up vehicle. Sureel previously held several executive roles with Level 3 Communications, including Chief Marketing Officer, President of Wholesale Markets, Executive Vice President of Services, Chief Financial Officer, Group Vice President of Corporate Development and Treasurer. Before Level 3, Sureel worked in venture capital at TeleSoft Partners and investment banking at Gleacher & Company.Sureel received a B.S. in Economics from the Wharton School with concentrations in Finance, Accounting and Entrepreneurial Management, and a B.A.S. from the School of Engineering and Applied Science, both from the University of Pennsylvania.

Ty Schmitt is Vice President and Dell Fellow for Dell/EMC’s Modular Data Center business. He holds a mechanical engineering degree from Texas A&M and has 29 years of experience in manufacturing, IT hardware, thermal and acoustical design/testing, engineering management, advanced data center thermal simulation and cooling solutions, and modular data center design and manufacturing. He created Dell’s modular data center business and continues as it’s executive sponsor with focus on customer solutions/transformation, partner, and technology strategy. Mr. Schmitt has worked at Dell for 26 years and has 61 patents.

An established figure in the Data Centre Industry with over 25 years’ experience in Financial Services, Infrastructure and Data Centre Environments. Prior to VIPA Digital, Vijay was the Operations, VP at Digital Realty, responsible for the company’s portfolio of Data Centres across Europe.

Vijay also spent 20 years at Morgan Stanley where he held a number of senior leadership positions including the European Head of Enterprise Computing, Global Head of Data Centre Portfolio Management and European Head of Enterprise Data Centres, where he transformed the team into a world class organisation, earning numerous industry accolades .

Vijay holds a BSc in Information Systems Design, and sits on a number of advisory boards within the DC Industry.
